Our Story

How Fieldstone Came to Be

Fieldstone was founded in 2011 by a small group of healthcare professionals and social workers who had spent years working across Singapore's eldercare sector. They shared a concern: many care homes, while meeting clinical standards, had lost a sense of place. Corridors felt institutional, outdoor spaces were an afterthought, and residents had little connection to nature or the rhythms of the day.

The founding team secured a property on Bedok North Street 3 — a low-rise block with generous outdoor frontage — and began reshaping it around a different idea. They planted terraced garden beds along the walking paths, replaced fluorescent lighting in communal areas with softer fixtures, and structured daily routines to include time spent outdoors. The name "Fieldstone" was chosen to reflect something sturdy, natural, and close to the ground.

Over the years, the home has grown steadily, adding programmes like the Midweek Respite Stay and the Nature Craft Day Programme. Today, Fieldstone serves families across the eastern districts of Singapore and beyond, but the core thinking remains the same: eldercare should feel less like a facility and more like a home, with gardens that remind us of the world beyond the walls.

Our Values

What Guides Our Work

Dignity First

Every resident deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of their care needs. Our staff are trained to support independence wherever possible and to always ask before assisting.

Nature as Companion

We believe time spent outdoors improves wellbeing. Our garden terraces, sensory beds, and shaded walkways are central to daily life — not optional extras.

Families Belong Here Too

We see families as partners, not visitors. Regular updates, open visiting hours, and collaborative care planning mean that no one feels left out of the process.

Steady Growth

We have grown thoughtfully since 2011, adding programmes only when we are confident they meet our care standards. Quality comes before expansion.

Honest Communication

We are straightforward with families about what we can and cannot provide. Honest conversations at the outset lead to better outcomes for everyone involved.

Whole-Person Wellbeing

Care is about more than medication schedules. We attend to emotional comfort, social engagement, creative expression, and physical activity as part of each resident's daily rhythm.

Eldercare Expertise in East Singapore

Fieldstone operates from Bedok North, serving families across Tampines, Pasir Ris, Changi, and the broader eastern districts. Our location was chosen for its accessibility to public transport, neighbourhood amenities, and proximity to Changi General Hospital, which serves as the regional hospital for residents requiring specialist referrals.

Singapore's ageing population requires care solutions that are responsive to both clinical needs and personal wellbeing. At Fieldstone, our approach draws on years of working within the local healthcare ecosystem. We collaborate with general practitioners, physiotherapists, and community organisations to ensure our residents receive coordinated support. Our staff are familiar with the government subsidy framework administered through the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and can assist families with means testing and financial assistance applications.

Each of our care programmes — residential, respite, and day programme — is designed to address a different caregiving scenario. We recognise that families often need time to decide what level of care is right. For this reason, we encourage visits and trial stays before making any commitment. Our aim is to provide an environment where seniors feel settled and where families feel confident that their loved one is looked after with genuine attention.
